SVR wins award for excellence

The Severn Valley Railway’s success in weathering the COVID-19 pandemic has been honoured with a bronze medal in VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence competition, in the Resilience and Innovation category.

The SVR, which has 1,600 volunteers supporting its Kidderminster-Bridgnorth operation, is mobilising itself for its part in the Queen’s Baton Relay on July 23, in the final build-up to Birmingham’s staging of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
