Rare sight of Class 43 carrying InterCity colours

Following the painting of a third Class 43 power car into Blue Pullman livery by Locomotive Services Ltd, the site of InterCity-liveried 43049 hauling the train due to failures and maintenance could soon become a thing of the past. The ‘43’ is seen here at Drybridge (between Kilmarnock and Barassie), while working the 1000 Crewe-Falkland Yard empty coaching stock on May 27. The train operated a tour from Ayr to York and back the following day.
