2008: Proposed Docklands Light Railway extension cancelled.

2014: Gospel Oak-Barking line proposed to be extended.

Mar 2016: Transport and Works Act Order (TWO) submitted.

Oct 2016: Public Inquiry into TWO.

Aug 2017: Secretary of State grants TWO.

Dec 2018: Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and VolkerFitzpatrick appointed as contractors.

Feb 2019: Start of major construction works.

Oct 2021: Completion of viaduct construction including track slab.

Mar 2022: Final signal commissioning completed.

May 2022: Driver training and route testing begins.
