c2c renews ‘Try a Train’ initiative

Trenitalia c2c has run its first ‘Try a Train’ event in more than two years.

Aimed at empowering young people with disabilities to travel independently, the initiative had been temporarily paused due to the Coronavirus pandemic, before restarting on June 30.

Approximately 20 pupils from South Essex College joined c2c staff on a journey from Benfleet to Shoeburyness, where they were given a tour of the station - including timetable boards, car parking, options for onward travel, and sources of customer and ticket information.
