Piccadilly Line power contract

UK Power Networks has secured a £40 million contract to upgrade power supplies and electrical infrastructure on London Underground’s Piccadilly Line.

The three-year project, which is scheduled to finish in June 2025, will enable Transport for London to introduce a new fleet of trains that are currently being built by Siemens, and deliver a 23% uplift in peak capacity from 2027.
