Water top-ups at Northern stations

Almost half of Northern’s customers will have access to free drinking water in the coming weeks, as the operator fits dispensers at 32 of its busiest stations.

It follows successful trials at Bolton and Castleford, where the machines display how many times they have been used and the number of plastic bottles that have been reused. A further 19 devices will be installed early next year.
