TfW/GWR combine on extra Swansea service

- JEREMY SEGROTT.

With no Great Western Railway services running west of Cardiff on July 30, due to a strike by ASLEF members, Transport for Wales ran an additional Cardiff-Swansea service every two hours. This diagram comprised TfW 150257/240 with 158950 (on temporary loan from GWR) sandwiched in the middle. The unusual formation approaches Ely Bridge, forming the 1839 departure from Cardiff Central.
