West Ruislip ready for TBMs

Chiltern Railways 168112 passes the HS2 West Ruislip tunnel portal site on July 29, with the 0610 Birmingham Moor Street-London Marylebone. HS2 will surface here from the Northolt Tunnel, connecting West Ruislip with Old Oak Common. Two tunnel boring machines are due to be launched from the portal later this year, and will travel five miles underground to create the western section of the Northolt Tunnel.
