More Friday charters on LSL’s agenda

Additional dates for Locomotive Services Ltd’s ‘Friday Charter’ have been confirmed, through to (and including) December 9. The operator began offering two regular charter journeys each Friday from August 19, using its 110mph Intercity-liveried locomotive­s and First Class coaches. An afternoon non-stop Crewe-Euston service is then followed by an evening (1727 dep) Euston-Manchester Piccadilly service, calling at Birmingham Internatio­nal, Birmingham New Street, Wolverhamp­ton, Crewe and Wilmslow. A flat fare of £75 is charged. On September 2, the 1429 Crewe-London Euston, propelled by 90002 Wolf of Badenoch, passes Nuneaton.
