SVR reopens locomotive shed

The Severn Valley Railway’s locomotive shed at Bridgnorth was officially reopened on September 7, following a £475,000 investment project.

Improvements include a new insulated roof with translucent panels, as well as insulated cladding on the walls. LED lighting has also been fitted, alongside a second-hand 6.3tonne crane.

The funding was raised by the SVR Charitable Trust through donations and from several grant-making organisations.
