Northern offers popular flash sale

Northern has offered 10% of its entire passenger capacity for just £1 a ticket, to try and reclaim post-COVID custom.

Its online flash sale, which ended on September 2, is valid until the end of next month. It was a sell-out on many routes, and is accompanied by a competition for commuters to win a refund of up to £100 off their daily, weekly or annual season ticket. A thousand names will be drawn from the hat for two months.
