Revival plan for Bermondsey arches

-

A £10 million plan to bring 29 empty and derelict railway arches in Bermondsey back into use has been submitted by the Arch Company.

The arches at Bermondsey Junction face onto Corbett’s Lane, Corbett’s Passage and Silwood Street. They have been vacant since 2012, when Network Rail commenced its Thameslink upgrade programme.

The Arch Company estimates that bringing the arches back into use as workplaces could support an additional 145 jobs.

Once planning is approved, it is expected that work will commence in 2023 with the units available later that year.
