Stevenage OLE repairs completed

-

Major repairs to overhead line equipment were undertaken at Stevenage on September 24.

Teams worked overnight to fix power lines that had been damaged some four days earlier, forcing the suspension of services between Stevenage and Hertford North and a reduced service to Knebworth.

A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police explained: “At 1640 on September 20, officers were called to Broadhall Way following concerns for the welfare of a man who had injured himself while on a bridge crossing the main railway line.

“The man was taken by air ambulance to hospital where he continues to receive treatment.”
