New suppliers given SPEED briefing

The Railway Industry Association and Network Rail have welcomed 150 suppliers for the launch of a new Industry SPEED Partnership.

The companies have been briefed on the ambition to build on NR’s Project SPEED, by deepening the involvement of the supply chain. The vision is to create ongoing crossindustry collaboration to challenge inefficiency in project delivery.

Keynote speakers included NR’s Eastern Region Managing Director Rob McIntosh, Head of Programme Management Sue Millington, and Non-Executive Director Rob Brighouse.

“Suppliers of all shapes and sizes have huge expertise and innovative ideas which can be brought to bear on this challenge,” said RIA Technical Director David Clarke.

“RIA is delighted to support this important initiative. It is vital for the health of the whole rail industry that we deliver as efficiently as possible.”
