Green initiative at Cardiff Bay
Transport for Wales is working with station adopters Cardiff Bay Rotary to make improvements at Cardiff Bay station.
Forming part of TfW’s Green Routes project, shrubs at the station have been replaced with plants for improved biodiversity and pollinators, as well as sensory plants to increase passenger wellbeing.
TfW has been awarded £100,000 from the Welsh Government and the National Lottery Heritage Fund to introduce green features at 25 of its stations and in five community areas. Other enhancements funded by the Green Routes project include planters and wildlife boxes.
