Class 360s commence MML training
HISTORY WAS made on November 26, 2020 as 360113, 360104 and 360116 became the first EMUs to work under their own power north of Bedford when they formed a 5Y60 0925 Cricklewood Kettering Stabling Sidings move. Staff training runs subsequently commenced on December 10, with 360113 making two return trips between Kettering and Kentish Town. By mid-December, Greater Anglia had released eight of the class to East Midlands Railway, a night time transfer on
December 7 seeing 37510 haul 360106 and 360107 from Clacton to Cricklewood.
Meanwhile, the 110mph modifications have been completed at Northampton Kings Heath Depot. November 20 saw the return of 360117 to Ilford between 47727 and 47749, the GBRF locos then taking 360101 north early the next morning. The Class 360 pioneer subsequently headed back to London between 47727 and 47739 on the evening of December 4.
