Class 321 disposals commence

-

THE FIRST full Class 321 sets have been sent for scrap, these being unrefurbished examples that are not PRM compliant and no longer required by Greater Anglia due to reduced travel levels. First to go on January 26 were 321357 and 321446, these being hauled away from

Clacton by 37884 to Sims Metals at Newport Docks. The same loco was back in Essex on February 5 to repeat the move, this time with the doomed pair of 321350 and 321351. A number of other sets are now off lease, including 321344/356/358/438, and due to suffer the same fate.
