Power Car moves to Eastleigh
THE PLANNED transfers of eight power cars from store at Ely Papworth to Eastleigh Works took place on March 3, with DRC's 60028 and 60046 deployed to haul the two convoys, with four power cars in each consist. 60046 hauled the first batch, with 43423, 43468, 43308 and 43467 in tow, running as 6Q42 from Ely Papworth to Eastleigh Works. 60028 hauled the second batch, formed of 43465, 43296, 43484 and 43480 as the 6Q43 from Ely Papworth to Eastleigh Works. The next movement occurred on the 5th when 60046 hauled 43296, 43308, 43423 and 43467 (all SCXL) as the 0Z43 to Willesden for ‘short term store’.
