Livery Changes

-

ALL FIVE of the DB Class 66s on long-term hire to DRS now sport the ‘economy’ blue livery following the completion of 66108 at Toton during late April. Also put through the paintshop at the Nottinghamshire depot during the month were the Pullman-liveried duo of 67021 and 67024, both receiving fresh coats of umber and cream and altered, but still underwhelming, ‘Belmond British Pullman’ branding. DB red 66077 also now has extra branding in the form of the ‘Powered by HVO Reducing our carbon footprint’ lettering.

Fresh from Eastleigh Works, 66798 has received standard GB Railfreight blue and orange while, prior to its despatch to the Arlington workshops, 66794 was stripped of its blue Beacon Rail vinyls at Doncaster Roberts Road to leave it in plain grey. Another loco with new paintwork is Vintage Trains’ 47773, it receiving a fresh coat of BR two-tone green following extensive attention at Kidderminster.
