Successful test for Peak D182

CLASS 46 D182 made its first moves on May 10 following the completion of the generator repairs. These were its first runs made since the overhauled main generator was re-fitted following its failure at the Bluebell Railway in March 2018. The generator and No 2 end compressor motor were sent away for repair and overhaul, the turbocharger was overhauled and the intercoolers were cleaned and overhauled. Comprehensive checks were made to the electrical and air systems. The test run was deemed to be a success.
