Former Wolverton Works pilot 08629 ended its stay at the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway on June 3, having been based there since February last year. Taken to the road transfer pad at Knighton Junction, it was tripped the short distance to Leicester LIP six days later by 20118 and 20901. The loco was acquired by Meteor Power at the same time as 08649, which was last heard of undergoing conversion into a hybrid demonstrator at the firm’s base near Silverstone. It is understood that 08629 may have been sold to Europhoenix.
