Livery Changes

-

THE PERIOD under review brought two repaints into BR green, but neither had made a public appearance by the middle of July. At Derby, former Network Rail reserve loco 37198 has been returned to its as-delivered look so that it can go on display at Darlington Railway Museum while, at Carnforth, West Coast’s recently-acquired 47815 is back in BR two-tone green once again, a livery it last carried between 2004 and 2014.

The latest Freightliner Class 90 to pass through Wolverton Works for corrosion repairs and a coat of orange and black is 90010.

At Toton, 60087 lost the same colours (with some added yellow) during June, as its obsolete Colas livery was replaced by GBRF’S corporate image.

Having seemingly served its purpose, the facemask vinyl applied to Scotrail power car 43129 has been removed, although those carried by 43021, 43145 and 43181 remain for now.

Staying with Scotrail and vinyls, DMS 64106 of 334006 is the latest recipient of Pride branding with the cabsides predominately finished in light blue and pink followed by an array of colours extending back over the centre of the vehicle.

?? ?? Scotrail has branded DMS 64106 of 334006 into a Progress flag instead of the traditional rainbow design to promote Pride. The newer graphics include additional stripes and colours to represent more of the LGBTQ+ community. On July 15, the unit arrives at Whifflet with the 14:09 Dalmuir to Motherwell service.
