No. 29 covers for Didcot steam shortage

Far from its North East coal mining roots, 0-6-2T Lambton Tank No. 29 is at work on the demonstration line at Didcot on June 26. This was its first day in traffic on hire from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway throughout July and August to cover for the GWS’ Prairie 4144 which has gone on hire to the Nene Valley Railway for the summer to cover its steam shortage.
