Yet another Dawlish photo? Sorry, but let’s face it – when was the last time you saw a bucket load of snow at the seaside?

I for one have only seen a decent plastering of snow along the coast here twice in 36 years, so this image goes into my top 10 for its rarity alone. Aside from that, I really like the scene too.

The light was pretty awful, but in reality it actually helps with the mood of the shot in my opinion. It’s also another demonstration of the awesome capability of Britain’s most successful train, the HST, soldiering on in all weathers, carrying passengers on some of the longest journeys in the country...
