Rolling stock for sale from Lavender Line

THE LAVENDER Line has announced a significant clear-out of rolling stock following an appraisal of its future needs and restoration strategy. Now up for sale are Ruston & Hornsby 0-6-0 diesel shunter 422 Valiant (459517 of 1961), which was once Tops-registered as 01583, along with Mk1 BG 81214.

Also available is Class 108 driving trailer 54279 and Class 422 4-BIG buffet car 69333, both of which are unrestored and in poor condition. The three-car Class 309 Clacton EMU that arrived from Coventry in 2018 is also being made available for sale. Featuring cars 75972, 61928 and 75965, the EMU remains unrestored from its 1990s departmental role but is in generally good order.
