Second accessible Mk1 carriage completed for NYMR
THE NORTH Yorkshire Moors Railway has received its second accessibility-modified Mk1 back from Rampart Engineering at Barrow Hill. Like the previously completed 5001, TSO 4597 now has double doors at one end, along with an accessible toilet and adapted seating area. Other work on the line’s fleet has seen BCK 21100 given an internal refresh and repaint, while BSO 9274 is undergoing an extensive overhaul inside and out, including rebuilding the corroded ends.
