BUILDING ON the BR theme of

Chime Whistle Publishing’s Farewell BR book, which is also reviewed on these pages, the company has released a 2022 calendar covering the BR blue period favoured by so many modern traction enthusiasts.

The popularity of railway calendars seems to grow each year, and it is pleasing that the variety of subjects now provide buyers with plenty of choice.

The cover depicts a BR blue 47006 undergoing workshop attention, while the other pages show locomotives and DMUS from Classes 03, 20, 25, 31, 37, 40, 45, 47, 85, 120 and 121.

The image quality is generally good for the age of the images and as the calendar is in A3 format, the photos are produced in a large size.

The calendar element of each page has sufficient room for the buyer to write down their various appointments and reminders for the year ahead.

Priced at £10, with discounts available when bought alongside other Chime Whistle products, the calendar represents good value and is recommended.
