Class 20s reunited at Mid Hants

-

THE TWO Class 20s belonging to the Somerset & Dorset Locomotive Company, D8059 and D8188, have been reunited at the Mid Hants Railway after D8188 arrived on the line following a spell operating on the Spa Valley Railway

The immaculate pair, painted in matching BR green livery with small yellow warning panels, worked services on the MHR between Alresford and Alton on September 11. Prior to their first operating day, trials of the locomotives saw them coupled up in multiple at Ropley on August 19.

The arrival of D8188 reunites the pair which spent several years based on the Severn Valley Railway before moving on a couple of years ago.
