COLIN J Marsden is another name that needs no introduction. The prolific author and photographer is well-known for his coverage of photography in and around the Dawlish area of Devon, which is perhaps one of the UKS most photogenic railway locations.

For the 2022 calendar, the subjects include various types of trains that operate through the area, ranging from main line steam locomotive 70000 Britannia (running as scrapped 70022) through to more modern traction, such as HSTS, Class 66s, ‘Voyagers’ and the GWR Class 802s. The images have clearly been selected to show the variety of traction to

typically run through the area. The A4 calendar features an image and caption on the upper part of each page, with a page for each month, while the calendar is produced below, with plenty of room for appointments to be written down. Notable dates are also featured. It is presented in a professional way and printed on decent quality paper. The calendar is priced at £10, inclusive of postage and packing for UK customers.

Anyone who has a soft spot for Dawlish and the railways of the area should consider this well produced calendar for their wall. Recommended.
