West Coast has overhauled a third Mk3 sleeper for staff use in the Northern Belle in the form of ex Caledonian Sleeper vehicle 10703. Repainted to match the set, it was noted in use at the beginning of September.

Since its return to full time use, two

Mk1 Pullmans have been regularly formed in the Northern Belle, 325 Amber and 326 Emerald. These are partly covering for fire damaged Mk2d FO 3182 and also providing extra capacity.

Meanwhile, Locomotive Services has hired Mk2f BSO 9513 from Eastern Rail Services for use with its set of

Intercity-liveried Mk3 coaches. This was delivered to Crewe by road from Wolsingham in early September and will allow a brake vehicle in matching colours to be employed rather than the likes of Pullman-liveried 9479.
