‘Thumpers’ complete Scottish transfer

-

The protracted movement of the two Class 205 DEMU sets from the Dartmoor Railway to their new home at the Caledonian Railway was completed in late August with the arrival of DTC 60827.

These transfers began in June with the movement of largely serviceable 60150, 60673 and 60831, which are due to be used by the railway once repairs have been carried out, with 60146 following in July and then centre car 60677 in mid-august.

The latter set, which is privately owned, is earmarked for experiments with battery and hydrogen fuel cell technology.
