Another departure from Devon clear-out

-

the last coaches to leave the Dartmoor Railway in mid-september was DB977335, the former 4-TC car that was converted into a driving and generator coach for use with the high-speed track recording train in the late 1980s.

Based at the line since 2004, the vehicle was taken north to Independent Rail Engineering, Chesterfield, a company that has mostly done work for Locomotive Services up to now.

Still located at Meldon Quarry are Mk.1 BSK RDB975046 Lab 11 and Mk.2a FK 13436, both owned by the Dartmoor Railway Association, and privately-owned Class 117 TCL 59520.

A huge clear-out of rolling stock once based at Meldon Quarry has taken place over the past couple of months.
