Heritage railways doctorate awarded

doctorate into the study of heritage railways has been awarded to Robin Coombes following research undertaken at the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Rail Research and Education. Sponsored by the Office of Rail and Road and the Heritage Railway Association, the study focussed on the sustainability and governance of heritage railways and is a landmark in the study of social history.
