55019 is all set to commemorate ‘Deltic Scotsman Farewell’ on GCR

THE GREAT Central Railway will be operating 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier on January 2, 2022, to commemorate 40 years since the final BR ‘Deltic Scotsman Farewell’ railtour.

The Deltic will be operating the 11.15, 12.50 and 15.00 services from Loughborough Central to Leicester North and the train will include a Griddle Car and a steam heat Boiler Van.

A steam locomotive will be operating the 10.15, 12.00 and 14.00 services from Loughborough Central.
