Previously at the Lavender Line, Ruston & Hornsby 0-6-0DH MOD 422 was transferred to the Moreton Business Park, Herefordshire, on October 7 after being offered for sale earlier in 2021. Once Tops-registered as 01583, the locomotive now belongs to the site’s owner and has been acquired with the assistance of tenants the D2578 Locomotive Group. The intention is to plinth the locomotive in recognition of the site’s previous military use, where some of its classmates once worked, and it will be restored in army colours. It will also be maintained in serviceable condition to allow potential future use.
