Ecclesbourne Valley Railway visit for Deltic 19

THE ECCLESBOURNE Valley Railway (EVR) has announced that the Deltic Preservation Society’s 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier will be visiting the line from spring 2022.

Initially due to arrive at Wirksworth for the spring diesel event between April 22-24, it is also planned to run the Deltics on services on three weekends in May (7/8, 14/15, 21/22), two Tuesdays in June (14/28), and the special Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend from June 2-5.

The EVR is also offering driver experience courses on 55019, which can be booked through the railway’s website (www.e-v-r.com), giving participants the chance to drive the Deltic on a full round trip on the railway, complete with coaching stock.
