KWVR receives its spares donor Class 143 ‘Pacer’

THE KEIGHLEY & Worth Valley Railway Diesel Railcar Group finally took delivery of DMS 55666 from 143625 on November 29, it having been stored at another location since departing Landore back in the summer of 2020. It is earmarked to be used as a spares donor for newly restored 144011, although the owning group has not ruled out the possibility of operating the Class 143 for a period, depending on its condition, once both vehicles from the set have been delivered to the KWVR.

DMSL 55691 from the set is currently located at the Wensleydale Railway but will be transferred to Ingrow in due course. Members of the KWVR Diesel Railcar Group have visited Leeming Bar to examine the condition of the vehicle.
