Caledonian Sleeper opens new guest lounge on Platform 1 at London Euston
has opened a new guest lounge on Platform 1 at London Euston station for its double room and club room passengers. The new lounge, which has an overall footprint of just over 200 square metres, offers a menu of light meals and alcoholic drinks for purchase by passengers, while a complimentary self-serve offer of sweet and savoury snacks, as well as a choice of hot and cold beverages, are also available.
The lounge also features an accessible toilet and shower facilities for passengers who wish to make use of them before boarding the train, although both club and double rooms on the Mk.5 coaches feature en-suite toilets and showers. Caledonian Sleeper managing director Kathryn Darbandi said: “Our dedicated guest lounge is the perfect addition to our overnight experience and feedback so far has been hugely positive.
“It offers a space to relax before or after travelling, allowing guests a quiet place to enjoy a light meal before boarding the train to Scotland or to prepare for a day of business meetings or sightseeing in London.” Previously, club and double room guests shared Avanti West Coast’s first class lounge at Euston; the facilities are not available for Caledonian Sleeper passengers travelling in seated accommodation or classic rooms.
