When should someone seek help?

As soon as they recognise something might not be quite right. Speak to a loved one, GP, psychologi­st or dietitian. If seeing your GP, say when booking an appointmen­t that you suspect you have an eating disorder. There may be a doctor at the practice with expertise in this area. Contact the National Centre for Eating Disorders or a charity such as BEAT.
