Bluebell Walks return in aid of MS Society
A FLORAL fundraiser in Bradfield is returning to help the work of a charity helping those with multiple sclerosis.
The Bluebell walks are set to take place once again over two weekends to raise funds for the Reading and Wokingham branches of the MS Society.
The event brings participants for a woodland walk among the bluebells in Bradfield and includes a free treasure hunt for children.
There is also hot and cold food, home-made cakes, and family activities in the barn on offer.
The MS Society has funded research into multiple sclerosis as well as providing support and services, and campaigning and advocating on behalf of those with the condition since it was founded in 1953.
Multiple sclerosis is a condition can affect the brain and the spinal cord, causing a wide range of symptoms including problems with vision, limb movement, balance, muscle stiffness and spasms, and difficulty with thinking, learning, and planning.
It is a lifelong condition which shortens life expectancy and one of the most common causes of disability in younger adults.
Bluebell Walks takes place in Back Lane, Bradfield, between 11am-5pm from Saturday-Sunday, April 20-21, and again from SaturdaySunday, April 27-28.
Adults are suggested to make a donation of £5, or £3 for children and concessions, and those under three go free.
