Frank has mentioned on a number of occasions about the deleterious effect of the sea air on bikes in the Big Shed. I see that some of your bikes have quite expensive dust covers over them which will offer little protection. I have tried a Vac-Bag this winter which comes with a drying agent and keeps the bike sealed from the elements. Maybe you have tried one?

The covers are effective when used in conjunction with ACF50. And yes, we have two ‘posh’ bikes tucked away in Vac-Bags complete with desiccant. We even have a bike bubble, complete with a fan and filters and exciting things like that. Mice eat them you know, and then you can’t inflate them. The secret is to wash bikes thoroughly and regrease everything every time you ride in the winter – which to be honest I find tiresome. Just laziness! FrankW
