If I may resurrect the subject of fuel additives, I have been unable to ride since last September but this morning I started my 1968 T100C which has been untouched since then. It has had unleaded petrol treated with Star Tron in the tank during the lay-up and it started first kick and ran perfectly for a trip of about twenty miles. In the past fuel from the same source has gone off after a few months, so I am a convert.

We too use a similar goop when laying up posh shiny bikes for winter (and scruffy horrorbags for summer, just to maintain cosmic equilibrium), and… so far, so good. Remember to brim the petrol tank before you add the additive. Star Tron is widely available – F2 Motorcycles and Wemoto certainly stock it. Rowena
