I recently received my insurance renewal, and chuckled (not that there’s much to find amusing in an insurance renewal) when I noticed that the insurer (who specialises in classic cars and bikes) had applied a $500 excess for damage caused by racing my machine. The bike in question is my 1954 BSA C11G – a 250cc powerhouse reputedly putting out 11bhp and with a top speed apparently approaching 62mph. Is there a new class of racing being introduced that I’m unaware of, have I stumbled upon a desirable classic that will knock Vincents and Velocettes from their perch, have T120 owners have something to fear?
