THIS MONTH we’ve been reading SNOWHAMMER by JF Leigh (galaxy-spanning sci-fi); BLOOD IN SNOW by Franko Marks (fabulous EuroCrime; quirky, literary and utterly absorbing); NEWCOMERS by Keigo Higashino (very clever Japanese multi-perspective whodunit) and SEVEN HELLS by that Frank Westworth chap (a new JJ Stoner novella, available at Amazon!). Frank’s been dull, reading two more books in THE EXPANSE series, which he appears to be addicted to…
MEANWHILE AT THE MOVIES we were bowled over by the brilliance that is Joaquin Phoenix in the bitterly-bleak YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE; romped along with Clive Owen in the ridiculously violent and oh-so-savvy SHOOT ’EM UP; admired everyone in WIDOWS, and still found ourselves going ‘gosh wow that was great’ during the penultimate season of GRIMM. But – blimey – the final episodes of STAR WARS: REBELS are a bit sniffly…
