HONDA PROJECT

My Honda 400/4 has an interesting story. I bought it when my youngest daughter was four, but it suffered the normal problem of camshaft bearings and the engine went away for repair. Things moved on for me and the bike was left in the family lock-up until last year when a friend fitted a replacement engine – the motorbike shop who had the original one was long gone.

I got the bike brought over to France last summer, and have just got it French registered and insured. I now need to get it back to original condition and so am looking for any information on the Mocheck Harrier, which was based on the Honda 400/4 F1 with Yoshimura tuning. As my daughter was 40 this year it has been 37 years since the bike saw light of day, but it’s not too bad considering. I must have had a job lot of red paint at some stage! I will keep you posted on the Honda’s progress.
