Real Classic

NOT QUITE A NAVVI

-

So caveat emptor indeed if you’re tempted by anything like the bike pictured here. The headline of the listing avoided mentioning the name ‘Navigator’ but went on to describe the bike as a 1961 350. It might be both of those things, but the chassis certainly started life as the lower-spec Jubilee. The seller reckoned ‘there has been a lot of money spent on this bike, from an engine rebuild to respoked wheels... Don’t know how original it is so mileage not guaranteed.’ Indeed. There’s nothing inherently wrong with a cobblejob classic, so long as you know that’s what you’re buying and pay an appropriate price. £1500 would have seemed about right for this bitsa.
