Some marques have always attracted a price premium, and most Norton motorcycles are far beyond the scope of our story. The lightweight twins used to be in the easily affordable bracket but – just like Bsa/triumph unit singles – their values haven’t fallen in recent months. You can still find roadworthy examples of the 250 Jubilee for between £2500 and £3000, but shiny bikes with their bodywork intact are selling for over £3500 these days. And that means you’ll pay a minimum of £4000 for a 350 Navigator with its Roadholder forks and chunky front brake.
