BETTER THAN A BONNIE?
Dave Simmons wrote a great piece in RC213 about the all-round capability of his TR6P, modified to taste. I have to say I agree: they are great bikes and often underestimated when compared to the Bonneville, which is basically identical save for an extra carb and a much higher price tag. I did note his comment about selecting second gear first to avoid first gear graunch. My own experience to avoid this is to pull in the clutch lever and give a couple prods on the kickstart to free the clutch before commencing the starting ritual. Works every time.
