CLUBMANS’ CORNER

After two decades of service to owners, the Tiger Cub Club enters its 21st year with some significant changes. The unfortunate loss of founder member Mike Estall resulted in his family asking the Cub Club to continue his work. They’ve kindly donated his files, records and all the information Mike had accumulated about these bikes in a lifetime, enabling us to ensure that it is passed on to future generations.

Mike’s diligent recording of all known surviving examples of the marque in his register will be continued, and the information sheets, manuals and other technical publications he produced will be available through the clubs offices. His greatest legacy, the Tiger Cub Bible, will be available from the club when the next reprint is published, and I’ll attempt to fill his shoes as the VMCC marque specialist. Meriden Triumph’s original factory records have been transferred to the Cub Club, along with other valuable archive material to assist in the issue of dating certificates and other historical information to owners.
