MEANWHILE AT THE MOVIES we were fairly baffled by the most recent remake of THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME which was nothing like the earlier anime; boggled at SHIN ULTRAMAN, a full-length Japanese anime feature featuring spacealien superheroes and monsters from the Godzillaverse; started the dystopian
FALLOUT series, set in a post-apocalyptic America that’s slightly stuck in the 1950s; slowed the pace somewhat with the gloriously scripted ELEMENTARY (Sherlock Holmes in modern-day New York), and were utterly blown away – again – by perhaps the best episode ever of TV drama: ‘The Children’ in GAME OF THRONES (hint: horrible Joffrey dies at the start of the season and another Lannister gets just desserts in the finale). Walk Of Shame, anyone?
